This is a freelance project from the company I did an internship with in Bangkok, Thailand. My job was UI design, but as I was not familiar with the topic and the client wanted to deliver good UX, I was using human-centred design approach by conducting user research on cryptocurrencies topic and evaluate my design with users as well.
Research
Since it was an unfamiliar topic, apart from the briefing, I had a big discussion with my client about cryptocurrencies. Moreover, I was doing internet research to understand the context so that I can ask the right questions for further user research.
After, I interviewed 5 participants both in person and remotely. Some of them are recruited via userinterview.com.
Ideate & Prototype
I made quick sketches of possible solutions.
However, my client also already had some rough design of the product. So, I took the opportunity to save time and use the existing design for paper prototype to test and learn.
After a few test of the client's design, I started to develop a new paper prototype based on the findings from user research combined with the client's brief.
Test & Iterate
It was 3 iterations in total. First test was from the client's design. Second and the last test was the paper prototype that I designed.
Due to the budget and time constrains, it was not possible to test the high-fidelity prototype unfortunately. However, the interactive prototype was developed using SketchApp and InVisionApp.
