Yoga Poses & YogaTrail
The first task I got at YogaTrail was integrating Yoga Poses, a platform that let people share pictures in different yoga poses. It was independent from the main YogaTrail product. So, my challenge was integrating Yoga Poses into the main YogaTrail website.
Yoga Poses UI Design
Apart from integration, another mission was to redesign Yoga Poses UI, as well as delivering a better UX.
Because of my lack of experience back then, I decided to look up platforms that present pictures as the main information, such as Pinterest and Instagram for UX design inspiration. Then I applied the design using YogaTrail UI elements for the consistency across the platform.
UI Design
Due to YogaTrail's existing UI design, there was a certain style and guideline to follow while I design UI for new features.
However, since it was a startup and the team was openminded, I had some freedom to invent new designs. Both circumstances were great for me to learn as a junior UI designer.
About
Below is an illustration explaining how YogaTrail works. As I and the team were highly explorative, I decided to try flat design for the style to bring in modernness and something eye catching to invite people to pay attention to.
Chat feature
The were few ways that allow users to communicate to each other, but there was nothing instant. So, I designed and proposed a chat feature to the team, for both desktop and mobile.
